This summer, I’ve been fortunate to travel to the beautiful city of Kiev! It was a short trip but I had just enough time to fall in love with the city. I have never been to Kiev and before going there I created my own picture of it in my head. It did not disappoint me…at all!
Kiev is fulfilled with history, stunning architecture and rich culture. It makes you wonder what historical moment has happened on every street and corner of the city. It has it’s own spirit but at parts reminds of Europe.
Ukrainian national ornaments and textiles inspired me to create this colourful look.
This dress is very special to me because it is designed by my dear friend Nika Danilov. We met through Instagram (thanks to the powers of social media!) back when she was a fashion design student in Seattle. Few years down the road, she became a famous fashion designer in Baku, Azerbaijan which makes me very proud and honoured to wear her pieces!
