Vancouver is perhaps one of the most photogenic cities in the world! It never fails to impress me with its beauty, even though I get to see it everyday. It also has lots of hidden gems that I keep on exploring. So many of you have asked me about my favourite places in Vancouver and I mean… there are a lot! I thought it would be a perfect time to share my ever growing list with you guys! I decided to break it down in few parts. This post is dedicated to Vancouver parks, beaches and gardens.

BEACHES
Spanish Banks Beach– Probably my favourite beach in Vancouver. It has a panoramic view of the city and it is oh, so serene. It is also one of my favourite spots to take photos at!
Lions Bay Beach– Definitely a hidden gem! This small beach is located in West Vancouver and it is very family oriented. It small and cozy and has a homey feel. I love swimming there in summer as water is especially warm there.
English Bay- This place is always busy and full of life! Enjoy the vibe, eat amazing food at the local restaurants and enjoy the view!
PARKS
Lighthouse Park– This park has it all! Beautiful forest trees, fun trail that leads to the breathtaking view and it is also dog friendly!
Whytecliff Park– I love this park its scenery and it is a beautiful spot to take photos at. It is also a perfect place for a romantic picnic.
Stanley Park– This iconic park is my favourite park to go bike at! Rent a bike and ride along the seawall all the way to Olympic Village. At the end, treat yourself with a pastry in Terra Breads on Manitoba street.
Queen Elizabeth Park– is a 130-acre municipal park with stunning views of Vancouver. I love Seasons in the Park Restaurant located right inside of the park. When making a reservation ask for a table with a view.
GARDENS
VanDussen Botanical Garden– is the most beautiful garden in Vancouver. I also recommend to visit it during Christmas Festival of Lights.
Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden – Very authentic and quite garden located in Chinatown.

A small technical quip. Not having an SSL certificate does not mean that data transferred to or from your server is not encrypted. Instead what it means is that an outside authority has not vouched for the fact that you actually are who you say you are. The implication being that someone sending an email to her server would still be sending an encrypted message, it’s just that they might be sending it to someone posing as her server. In all honesty, SSL certificates aren’t a very rigorous way of enforcing online identities – and cheap ones can be bought for ~50$ per year, and they check your identity by essentially just sending you an email. But I want to make it clear that I still believe, from a technical perspective, that categorizing her server as “amateur hour” is 100 correct, and that not having an SSL certificate at the level of the secretary of state is utterly ridiculous, and a strong indication that this server was remarkably poorly implemented. SSL certificates are literally server 101 type stuff. And for fucks sake, you can buy one for 50 bucks.LikeLike
