What is a Smart Luxury to you?

Recently, MEZZI and I sat down to chat about social media, technology and how to make a right choice in purchasing a luxury product. Please find the interview below:

MEZZI: How has blogging changed your life?
DARYA ZOZULYA: It has changed the way I perceive things. I notice beauty and aesthetics far more than before; I plan my life, nights out and travel plans in a way that will allow me to share it with my followers. When I take a photo, I’m always considering if they would be interested in it. Having people follow my life makes me want to be a better person, and be able to show my best self.MEZZI: What have you learned about the blogging world since you began?
DZ: That blogging is a full time job! At first, looking at other bloggers, I thought it would be so easy to put on an outfit and take pictures. The reality is, it’s very time consuming. The outfit, location and photography all have to be planned in advance – I didn’t know blogging would become my life.MEZZI: How would you describe your style?
DZ: Minimalistic – I really like chic and simple. I don’t have a specific style, however. I can wear funky patterns or more classic shapes, but I keep the overall look simple – elegant.

MEZZI: What does “Smart Luxury” mean to you?
DZ: If you’re buying a luxury product, you want to make the right choice because it’s an investment. Smart luxury means choosing pieces that will work everyday, instead of relegating luxurious items to only be enjoyed on special occasions.

MEZZI: What is most important to you in a great handbag?
DZ: Quality. When you buy a handbag, it should be great quality, and a solid colour. My handbag also has to be functional and hold my essentials – I must have my hairbrush and phone!
